FEBRUARY

Vicki HitzgesA Certified Speaking Professional, Vicki Hitzges, has shared the stage with celebrities ranging from PBS news analyst Cokie Roberts to comedian Al Franken, to NFL announcer Pat Summerall, to movie heroine Erin Brockovich, to NFL Super Bowl coach Joe Gibbs. Audiences around the globe rave about Vicki's rich insight and fun, energetic delivery. Zig Ziglar recognized Vicki's unique ability to communicate and quickly selected her to be one of a handful of speakers he would personally mentor.

A first place award-winner from the National Press Club for reporting ability, Vicki also hosted TV newscasts and talk shows at Dallas affiliates for Fox, CBS and ABC. She has interviewed newsmakers like U.S. Presidents' Carter, Reagan and Bush. The National Press Club honored her with a Headliner Award for outstanding reporting ability.

Vicki grew up in a wonderful Christian home. Her father, Dr. Haddon Robinson, was listed in Newsweek as one of the twelve most effective preachers in the English-speaking world. You may listen to him on the radio in the morning or read his column each month in Our Daily Bread. Vicki has served on the Board of Directors of both the Make-A-Wish Foundation in Dallas and The Fellowship of Christian Athletes.

Amy AlfordAmy Alford is a renowned photographer who has photographed some of the world’s most powerful and respected leaders, including former President George W. Bush and his wife Laura, George Bush Sr., Oprah Winfrey, Benjamin Netanyahu, Senator Kay Bailey Hutchinson and the incomparable Bill Cosby. Amy is also passionate about capturing scenes from God’s breathtaking creation, including the magical moments of children and families.

An author and accomplished speaker, Amy recently spoke at the White House about her new book: WHEN GOD HAS A WAY, NO OTHER WAY WORKS. It is a powerful and inspiring story about her journey and friendship with her mentor and adopted grandmother, Sandy Edmonson. After the release of her book, Amy’s devotion to the welfare of others was tested in a true act of faith and sacrifice when she donated one of her kidneys to successfully save the life of her stepfather, Dallas philanthropist Harold Simmons.

Amy also travels internationally on mission trips in poverty stricken places, from Russian orphanages to small villages in Cuba, where she does door-to-door ministry. She also participates in prison ministry. Amy and her husband, Ben, reside in Dallas, Texas where they attend Fellowship Bible Church.

Jim JordanJames David Jordan is a business litigation attorney with the prominent Texas law firm of Munsch Hardt Kopf & Harr, P.C. From 1998 through 2005, he served as the firm's Chairman and CEO. The Dallas Business Journal has named him one of the most influential leaders in the Dallas/Fort Worth legal community and one of the top fifteen business defense attorneys in Dallas/Fort Worth. His peers have voted him one of the Best Lawyers in America in commercial litigation.

Jim is also an author of Christian novels. His recently released the novel, Forsaken (Broadman & Holman 2008), which is the first book in a Christian action thriller series featuring Taylor Pasbury – a beautiful but troubled former Secret Service agent who is hired to provide security for Simon Mason, an internationally known televangelist, after he receives threats from Muslim terrorists. One reviewer said, "Reading this book was like watching an episode of 24 in book format...This is honestly one of the best suspense novels I have ever read." Books, Movies and Chinese Food. The sequel to Forsaken, entitled Double Cross, is scheduled for release in October, 2009. Jim's first novel, Something That Lasts (Integrity, 2006), was the story of a minister's family's struggle with God and one another after being torn apart by the minister's scandalous affair."

Jim has a law degree and MBA from the University of Illinois, and a journalism degree from the University of Missouri. He lives with his wife and two teenage children in the Dallas suburbs.

MAY

Ari Sorko-RamAri Sorko-Ram is a man of varied backgrounds. He was a professional rugby player in France and played for the French National Rugby team and then signed as a professional football player in the NFL for the St. Louis Cardinals. He went to undergraduate and graduate school at the University of Southern California, studying psychology. He worked in the Los Angeles Sheriff’s Department until he became a film actor. He has appeared in over 100 films and TV shows in Israel and the United States, such as Hawaii 5-0, Entebbe, The Finest Hour, and was a lead actor in TV series such as Chips and Sweating Bullets. He left Hollywood to return to Israel, the land of his forefathers, and become an Israeli citizen in 1976.

As a Messianic Jews, Ari and his wife, Shira direct the Maoz Israel Ministry. They have been pioneers of the Messianic Jewish movement in Israel, and currently lead a Messianic Jewish congregation in the Tel Aviv area. They have sponsored many national conferences for the Israeli leaders and believers. They also encourage and sponsor born-again Jews returning to the land of Israel. They have helped Israeli believers set up small businesses, helped Messianic Jewish immigrants, and aggressively help both Arab and Jewish believers to improve their status in the land through sponsoring vocational and language training. In addition, they are translating and publishing a number of discipleship and gospel books in Hebrew for the growth of the body in Israel—books by Rick Warren, Jack Hayford, Joyce Meyer, Oswald Chambers, Josh McDowell, James Dobson, John Maxwell, and numerous others.

Maoz’s ministry headquarters are in Tel Aviv, Israel with US administrative offices in Texas. They also have offices in Canada, Germany, England and Brazil.

Benita ArteberryBenita Arteberry is an international recording artist who has received an EMMY and two CLEO awards. In addition, she started “Lady B. Productions” in which she has produced various stage productions for clients such as: Trane Industrial, Sally Beauty Supply, Bravo Entertainment, The Linx, Darby Clinic and others. She also has IMANI Records, Inc. Her new gospel album is entitled: “My Walk His Way”.

Benita’s first professional show was as a back up singer for Johnny Taylor Review in the Superdome. She has performed with such greats as: The O’Jays, Natalie Cole, Teddy Pendegrass, Peobo Bryson, Cool & the Gang and many others. She was also a finalist on Star Search where she performed with: Sinbad, Sawyer Brown, Beau Williams and Rosie O’Donald. She has opened for such artists as: Bryan McNight, Pieces of a Dream and many others. In addition to her three albums, Benita has recorded hundreds of commercial jingles for radio and television around the world for such clients as: Cadillac, Oldsmobile, Wendy’s, Wing Stop, Church’s Chicken, Japan’s 102FM and the Muscular Dystrophy Association to name a few.

Benita is an ongoing member of the International Christian television show “Celebration” on the DayStar Network / Channel 2 as one of the featured DayStar Singers. She is also a member of the annual recording and performing group called the “Gospel Gurls” produced by Curtis King of “TBAAL.

Buddy PilgrimBuddy Pilgrim has been considered somewhat of a “renaissance man” due to his success as a consultant, CEO, corporate coach, public speaker, ordained minister and entrepreneur. His breadth of business experience combined with excellent teaching skills make for effective leadership messages that apply from the back dock to the boardroom, and to the secretary as well as the CEO.

Buddy practices what he teaches through on-going involvement in a variety of successful business ventures. He is perhaps best known for his work as President of Pilgrim’s Pride Corporation, an $8.5 billion publicly traded company with almost 50,000 employees. After leaving Pilgrim’s Pride, he continued his distinguished career in business by serving as a “turnaround” CEO and consultant, and by launching numerous successful entrepreneurial endeavors.

Through Integrity Leadership, a non-profit ministry he founded in 1998, Buddy teaches God’s Word for the workplace. He has spoken to churches, seminars, civic and trade groups, and businesses in the U.S., Europe, Russia and So. Africa. On daily radio and weekly television he has hosted “Getting Down 2 Business”. These programs provide highly practical Biblical principles for everyday application in leadership, financial management and business success. He also publishes a monthly “Getting Down 2 Business” newsletter.

Starlene StringerStarlene Stringer is the Morning Show Co-Host, and News and Public Affairs Director at 94.9fm KLTY in Dallas/Fort Worth, where she also hosts the weekly talk show, DFW Perspectives with Starlene. She also serves as Editor-In-Chief of KLTY Now Magazine. Starlene is a regular on-air fundraising host for KERA-TV (PBS), an Anchor/ Producer/ Reporter for ICTN, a Best-Selling Author, an Actress and Model signed to the prestigious Campbell Agency. She is also a certified Fitness Instructor for two national fitness chains, a caring volunteer and an Inspirational Motivational Speaker sought after to share her life experiences while encouraging others to live their dreams!

Starlene previously hosted the syndicated television talk show Even Greater with Reinhard Bonnke. She was a Senior Writer for both In House and Eclipse magazines and the Media Director at an advertising and marketing agency based in Dallas.

As the CEO of Epiphany Productions and Publications, Inc., Starlene has released two books and audio CD’s. Her first book titled, Speak Through Me: The Diary of a Military Brat is a National Best-Seller and her latest title I Am Her… and It’s Actually Okay! is sure to make a mark on the industry too.

Starlene is a graduate of Texas Woman’s University with a Bachelors of Science in Mass Communications. Having survived a helicopter crash while working as a Traffic Anchor for CBS11-TV, Starlene knows each day is a gift and she does her best to convey that message through her words and actions.

Jennifer StricklandJennifer Strickland is the author of Girl Perfect which tells the story of fifteen years in the modeling industry and how she met true perfection through a personal relationship with Christ. Jen was represented by world-renowned modeling agencies FORD NYC, Nina Blanchard of Los Angeles (now FORD L.A.), FASHION Milan and NOVA Munich. She lived and/or worked abroad and knows all too well what the modeling business is really like behind the scenes. At the height of her career, she worked regularly for Giorgio Armani in Milan, appeared as “Barbie” for the doll’s 35th anniversary in Italy, and was seen on the covers and in the pages of fashion magazines all across Europe including Vogue.

When Jen was eighteen, the legendary modeling agent Nina Blanchard, along with Hard Copy, named her the “Face of the ‘90s.” She did television commercials for Oil of O’lay, Mercedes Benz, Converse Tennis Shoes, Cherry Coke, Fanta Orange, Taco Bell and Vibrance shampoo; starred in a music video for Styx; appeared in Vogue, Glamour, Teen and more; did a high-profile fashion campaign for Jordache, regularly appeared in the Eddie Bauer catalogue, and represented Elizabeth Arden and modeled the Crown Jewels in Australia.

When Jen discovered the surpassing love of Christ, she left the modeling industry in search of a more authentic life. Today, Jen uses her gifts to share her story with women of all ages, inspiring them to know the love of God that transformed her life from the inside out.

Janine TurnerJanine Turner is an actress, author, model, proud mother and a Texan to the core of her being! Her career started in Dallas at the ripe 'ole age of three when she was spotted by Kim Dawson Modeling Agency and whisked into a fashion show. As a teenager she also worked for Wilhelmina Cooper of the prestigious New York modeling agency.

As an actress, Janine is most well known as Maggie O'Connell in CBS' Northern Exposure (six seasons 1990-95). She received three Golden Globe Best Actress nominations and one Emmy Nomination for best actress for her work on Northern Exposure. She also had a featured role in one of the highest rated TV shows in the season opener “Who Shot JR?” on the hit TV series “Dallas”. In addition, she was chosen as one of People magazine's 50 Most Beautiful People and Ten Best Dressed, US magazine's Ten Most Beautiful and as one of Esquire magazine's Women We Love.

Janine has been in many films including Cliffhanger with Sylvester Stallone and Dr. T. and the Women” with Richard Gere. She also had a reoccurring role for two and a half years on Lifetime's, Strong Medicine. Her most cherished role is being mommy! Janine's greatest joy in life, her greatest blessing is her daughter, Juliette. This role inspired her to write the book “Holding Her Head High” (Thomas Nelson Publishing) which is inspiring stories about single Christian mothers who championed their children and changed history.

Janine has been a guest on “Life Today with James Robison”, “The O’Reilly Factor”, a speaker at Saddleback Church (Rick Warren) and Pat Robertson’s the “700 Club”. She was also chosen as one of 25 people across the country appointed by President George W. Bush to the President's Council on Service and Civic Participation.
