SPIRITUAL VITAMIN DEVOTIONAL
"He has send me to bind up the brokenhearted..."
~Isaiah 61:1
I am a bargain shopper. I love to purchase quality items for half the price. I always check the clearance section but seldom find anything of real value. The items are usually damaged, have pieces missing or are cracked and chipped. These are items that have been mishandled, mistreated and rejected. No one really wants them.
Do you ever feel like you have been placed on the "clearance shelf"? Do you ever feel like you have been rejected by society? The world does not accept the "clearance section" of humanity. The abused, the brokenhearted, the down trodden. However, there is one who values the so called "rejects" of society. In fact, He is the one who manufactured or created them. He values them so highly that He has already purchased them with what He holds most precious, His son, Jesus Christ. For God so loved the world (yes, even the so called "rejects" of society) that He gave His only begotten son, so that whoever believes in Him will not perish but have everlasting life. You see, Jesus came to bind up the brokenhearted, not the self-sufficient and self-righteous, for they think they have no need of a Savior.
Have you allowed your Creator to redeem you and make you new again? Have you been purchased by the One who truly loves you just the way you are - flaws, scars and cracks? If not, go directly to the checkout counter, for your Savior is waiting to redeem you today!
Prayer:
Abba, Father, thank you that you created me in your image and for your purpose. Though the world may not accept me, you do. Thank you that in your Kingdom on earth there are no "clearance items", only those who are made new in Christ Jesus. Thank you that I am set free in Christ to be all that you have made me to be. Amen.
