HOPE

"You are a God of hope and may you fill me with all joy and peace as I trust in you, so that I may overflow with hope by the power of the Holy Spirit."
~Romans 15:13

Some days - do you feel like the hamster running on the proverbial treadmill -- never getting anywhere? Never accomplishing the tasks on your never ending "to do" lists.

Some days - do you want to call it quits and start over with a new name, in a new place, where nobody knows your name? Where you don't have so many people pulling at you, needing you, depending on you?

Some days - do you feel so worn out, tired and drained with nothing left to give? Is your emotional bank account empty?

There is hope! When I am feeling this way, I always remember the old commercial that said, "Calgon, take me away!" Special bath soaps and oils may temporarily relieve our physical and emotional stress, but there is only one who can truly refresh, restore, and revive us. We are told in Psalms, "Be strong and take heart, all you who hope in the LORD". Take time today to reconnect and recharge with the God of hope. Your Father in heaven desires that you prosper spirit, soul and body. Allow Him to encourage and strengthen you today. Allow him to wash away the cares of the world and refill you with joy and peace so that you may overflow with hope!

Prayer:
Father, you are a God of hope. Oh Lord, fill me up to overflowing with your joy and peace as I draw closer to you. As I turn to you, may I overflow with hope through your Holy Spirit. Thank you Father that even when things seem hopeless, you are a God of hope.and my hope is in you, Lord.
