The Queen's Foundation
The Christian Chamber of Commerce, Agape International Church, Plano, the Potter's House African Ministry and the Ugandan American Association hosted an event honoring the the Queen of Buganda, Sylvia Nagginda.
The Queen was touring the United States for the purpose of sharing her passion for Buganda and its people, more specifically, its children. NNABAGEREKA DEVELOPMENT TRUST raises funds for nine programs to support this Eastern African province of Uganda and they are as follows:
- The Bursary Scheme for Disadvantaged Girls
- Construction of a girls' dormitory at Kampala School for the Physically Handicapped
- Support to Sanyu Babies Home
- Youth Vocational Training School in Wakiso District
- The Cultural Promotion and Education Centre (CPEC)
- Early Childhood Care and Development Centre (ECCDC)
- Strengthening Organisation Capacity of the Nnabagereka Development Trust
- Education and Learning Centre
- Supplementing the Nutrition of children with Mental Retardation in Makindye Hill Parents School
